Policy
Harford
Lutheran welcomes applications from students desiring a challenging academic
program within a Christian environment. Each applicant is evaluated on
the strength of academic achievement, readiness, test scores, sense of
responsibility, and desire to succeed in a Christian atmosphere. Admission
is open to all students despite race, color, national, and ethnic origin
who possess the motivation, ability and character that would enable them
to succeed in a rigorous academic environment.
Procedure
- The admissions
process begins with receipt of the application and fee. It will acquaint
families and prospective students with as many aspects of the school
as possible. The application may be obtained by contacting the Director
of Admissions at Harford Lutheran School.
- Parents are
encouraged to attend an Open House, or make an appointment to visit
the school. You will meet with the Admissions Director, tour the campus,
and have the opportunity to look in on classes.
- A transcript
covering previous academic work is required. Please request your child's
school records from the current and previous year be sent to the HLS
Admissions Office.
- All applicants
are required to take an admissions test. Testing is conducted periodically
throughout the year. When HLS receives the application and fee, the
student is scheduled for testing. Parents can also call the Admissions
Office to arrange a testing date.
- An interview
with the applicant and his/her parents is required. An interview appointment
time will be given when the applicant comes in for testing.

5% deposit is due within three weeks of acceptance. This payment holds
your child's place in the school.
